Soleil Hibiya Okuroji – Muslim Friendly Café and Bar
Okuroji is a commercial establishment with restaurants and small shops located within the 5-6 minutes walking distance from nearby stations, sitting under the overpass between Yurakucho and Shinbashi. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, people were queuing up for stores for the grand opening on 10 September 2020. In the architecture styled with the Meiji-era brick arch design, you can find a restaurant that serves a Muslim friendly halal restaurant Soleil Hibiya Okuroji.
Where the Halal, Vegan and Vegetarian Can All Enjoy the Meal
Healthy Curry with Omni Meat and Colorful Vegetables (900 yen) has fresh vegetables and plenty of omni meat blocks with mild sweet taste curry.
The restaurant pursues “the food diversity and hopes that people with food restrictions based on their religion, belief or culture such as halal, vegan, and vegetarian, can enjoy the meal together.” All the meals in the menu are certified halal.
In addition to regular seats in the restaurant, there are seats available on the terrace as well, with all the interior design in a bright color like white and beige. Guests were evenly split between men and women. The restaurant tries to give a sense of comfort in the time of the pandemic by preparing hand sanitizers and transparent separators. The female staff joyfully greeted at the door and explained the menu in detail.
